Increase in warehouse service quality
Speed, efficiency, and precision are also of key importance in the warehouse. WMS@ SmartBit enables order processing through the BackOffice module in steps:
- the decision on WHEN the order will be executed,
- the decision on WHO will carry out the order,
- the decision on WHICH stock will be used for the order.
The warehouse worker then simply performs scanning via a terminal and prepares goods for the tasks and items assigned to their terminal. During this process, the terminal can guide them along picking routes (optimal logistics path – sequence of locations based on distance or location system – full pallets, open pallets).
Upon receipt from the supplier, the system allows for printing of necessary labels and quick receipt to the location.
Warehouse optimization and goods control
The system enables preparation of the optimal route for issuance as well as the location and optimal route for receipt. The location is marked with the type of goods packaging (full pallet, multiple pallets per location, different goods per location), where the system monitors location occupancy. Manual issuance, FIFO-based issuance, and issuance based on expiration date are enabled. The system also uses SSCC codes, which are the basis for moving pallets as a whole and tracking goods loaded on the pallet.
